Advanced Mitigation Site at Little Bear Creek

Description

Snohomish County Public Works recently acquired four parcels of land in the lower Little Bear Creek Watershed near Woodinville. The 17 acres aquired will be used as part of an advanced mitigation effort. To accomplish this effort, there are several buildings on the site that will be demolished.

This effort is to restore wetlands and stream habitat on the site, preserve other areas, and enhance some areas to compensate for impacts associated with future roadway projects.

Schedule

Demolition of the buildings began in February 2019 and will be completed by late Spring 2019.
