On January 15, the entire nation pauses in remembrance of a civil rights hero. At least, that’s the point of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, a federal holiday that takes place on the third Monday of each January. MLK day was designed to honor the activist and minister assassinated in 1968, whose accomplishments have continued to inspire generations of Americans.
This is the first census that will be primarily conducted on-line. In March of 2020, you will receive a postcard inviting you to take the census. On March 23, 2020, the census website will go live. If you have not completed the census online by April 8, you will receive a reminder letter with a paper survey. Census staff may follow up for in person interviews in May-July 2020.
