Requesting Jail Records
Requesting Jail Medical Records
The release of Jail inmate medical records, even directly to an inmate, requires a signed Authorization for Use and Disclosure of Health Care Information form signed by the inmate. No medical information on an inmate will be released without this completed form or without a court order signed by a judge. Once the form has been completed and signed, it may be submitted in person, by mail, email, or fax to:

Jail Inmate Records
The following information is available for public release via the daily jail register.
- Inmate name
- Booking date(s)
- Description of charge(s)
- Offense date(s)
- Bail bond information
- Arresting agency
In accordance with the City and County Jails Act (RCW 70.48.100), all other inmate records are confidential and may only be provided directly to the inmate, upon written permission from the inmate, or by a court order signed by a judge.
To obtain inmate records (other than jail medical records) please submit a records request via mail (PDF), in person, online, email, or fax (425-388-3939).

Cash, check, or money order only. Checks are made payable to “Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office” or “SCSO”. Requestors may visually inspect records in person at the Sheriff’s Office, by appointment, at no cost.
Snohomish County waives fees for production of records if the total is less than $1. Large Requests may require a deposit of up to 10% of the total estimated cost of an entire request before records are processed. When a fee is due, you will be mailed a letter notifying you of the cost and that the records are available. The fee must be paid before the records will be released.
