Add New Item

Log in to the eFile system, then:

  1. Click on the ‘My Account’ menu option.
  2. Click on the ‘View My Personal Property Filing Accounts’ link.
  3. From your list of personal property accounts, select the account you would like to change and click the [Open the selected Account for filing] button.
  4. Click on the ‘Equipment' tab.
  5. Under the 'Inventory Listing' section, click on the [Input New Items] button.
  6. In the box labeled ‘Item Description’, enter a detailed description of the item.
  7. In the box labeled ‘Purchase Year’, enter the year the equipment was purchased.
  8. In the box labeled ‘Cost’, enter the original cost of the item including shipping and freight but excluding any sales tax.
  9. From the drop down box labeled ‘Reason’, select a category that best fits the item.
  10. In the box labeled ‘Notes’, enter any notes regarding the item.
  11. Click on the [Save Item and Done] button if you are adding only this one item. Click on the [Save Item and Add Another] button if you need to add another item to your inventory.
  12. On the ‘Equipment’ screen, make sure to click the [Save Personal Property Listing] button.
