Log in to the eFile system, then:
- Click on the ‘My Account’ menu option.
- Click on the ‘View My Personal Property Filing Accounts’ link.
- From your list of personal property accounts, select the account you would like to change and click the [Open the selected Account for filing] button.
- Click on the ‘Equipment' tab.
- Under the 'Inventory Listing' section, click on the [Input New Items] button.
- In the box labeled ‘Item Description’, enter a detailed description of the item.
- In the box labeled ‘Purchase Year’, enter the year the equipment was purchased.
- In the box labeled ‘Cost’, enter the original cost of the item including shipping and freight but excluding any sales tax.
- From the drop down box labeled ‘Reason’, select a category that best fits the item.
- In the box labeled ‘Notes’, enter any notes regarding the item.
- Click on the [Save Item and Done] button if you are adding only this one item. Click on the [Save Item and Add Another] button if you need to add another item to your inventory.
- On the ‘Equipment’ screen, make sure to click the [Save Personal Property Listing] button.
