  2. HIRST Decision Update

    As you may have heard, the Washington State legislature has recently passed new regulations  related to permit exempt wells and resolution to the issues raised by the HIRST decision (October 2016). The legislation was signed by Governor Inslee.

  3. Highlighted Items

    PDS has published two newly proposed rules and one finalized rule:
    • Proposed PDS Director's Rule 18-04 would adopt rules for the protection of critical species and habitats that are included under SCC 30.62A.410. The minimum protection requirements are established under SCC 30.62A.440. PDS is accepting public comment on the proposed rule through June 26, 2018. 
    • Adopted PDS Director's Rule 18-02 supersedes and updates an existing rule and make several procedural changes to implement a recently adopted ordinance. The rule was adopted on May 11, 2018 and became effective on May 18, 2018. 
    • Proposed PDS Director's Rule 18-03 would clarify the use of recreational vehicles on properties within unincorporated Snohomish County. The comment period has closed and PDS will soon publish a finalized rule.
