ADA Public Right-of-Way Advisory Committee

Snohomish County’s ADA Public Right-of-Way (ADAPROW) Advisory Committee members are volunteers appointed by the County Engineer who help develop guidelines and recommendations to handle ADA compliance issues for pedestrian facilities in the public right-of-way. The committee is comprised of nine positions that are non-paid, with a two-year term.


Committee meetings are open to the public and are held:

  • On a quarterly basis
  • At the Snohomish County Campus
  • And via Zoom online meeting

Committee Seeks New Members
 

County leaders are seeking candidate letters of interest for eight open positions on the ADAPROW committee by November 1, 2023. 
  

Committee volunteers must:

  • Be a Snohomish County resident
  • Have a basic understanding of the history and requirements of the ADA
  • Submit to a criminal background check

The three new committee members will be chosen by the County Engineer.
 
Perspective committee volunteers should submit a letter of interest that includes their name, address, and contact information along with the preferred method of contact or communication. Include a brief summary of the qualifications of the individual or an explanation of how the individual would bring value to the committee.

Volunteers appointed to the committee will be notified by the end of January 2024. It is anticipated the newly appointed committee members will participate in their first regular meeting during March 2024.

In-person meetings are held on the Snohomish County campus in downtown Everett at 3000 Rockefeller Ave. in Room 5F02 of the Drewel Building
