Lodging Tax Advisory Committee

About the LTAC

The Lodging Tax Advisory Committee (LTAC) is established by law to review applications for funding from lodging taxes collected by the county, and to make recommendations to the county council on those applications and related lodging tax issues. Per Chapter 67.28 of the Revised Code of Washington (RCW) the committee comprises five members: the chair shall be an elected official of the county, two members must represent lodging establishments, two members must represent agencies or activities eligible to receive lodging tax funding. In addition, Chapter 4.41 of the Snohomish County Code (SCC) permits appointment of an ex officio (non-voting) representative to be drawn from a city in Snohomish County. Members are appointed at large by the Council. While there is no defined term of service, appointments are reviewed annually by Council.
