156th St SW and 34th Pl W (Oak Manor) - Stormwater Facility Retrofit
Snohomish County Public Works, Surface Water Management Division, proposes replacing the existing failing stormwater tank located under the north-bound lane of 34th Place West. The new tank will be enlarged in order to reduce high flows downstream and improve water quality.
The work will include excavating most of the north-bound lane, curb, and sidewalk; installing the new tank; and installing a drainage pipe connection from the tank, east to the existing stormwater system. Thirty-fourth Place West will be resurfaced and replacement curb, gutter, and sidewalk will be installed along the east side of the roadway. In addition, new curb, gutter, planter strip, and sidewalk will be constructed from the intersection of 34th Place West and 156th Street SW to existing sidewalk located to the east. New curb ramps will be installed at the intersection.
This project is planned to be constructed in the summer of 2017.
Signage and traffic control will be provided to route traffic around the construction site. No full road closure is anticipated.
