Highlighted Items

  1. On Demand Services

Beginning on March 2, 2015, PDS will be offering customers who are submitting residential permit applications for their projects the opportunity to receive our services without a mandatory submittal appointment.  During the economic downturn and as a result of staff reductions the department initiated mandatory submittal appointments which can cause delays of up to 3 weeks for applicants wishing to submit their projects. Recently we have been able to hire additional staff and wish to increase our level of service.  Please visit the project page for more information.

  2. Marijuana Regulations

On September 17, 2014, the Snohomish County Council adopted Motion No. 14-318, referring a proposed ordinance to the Snohomish County Planning Commission and Department of Planning and Development Services for legislative review, refinement, and processing. Please visit the project page for more information.
  3. Critical Areas Regulations Update

Snohomish County is in the early process of making updates to the Critical Area Regulations. Critical areas include Wetlands and Fish & Wildlife Habitat Conservation Areas, Geologically Hazardous Areas, and Critical Aquifer Recharge Areas.  Read more on the project webpage.
